1961 Full Resto Samba
Matt started this VW Campervan restoration project in November2005, for Rick Rowath at Alan Schofields, he sent the most abused and neglected samba he could find!
Over the winter Matt fully restored and finished project for her debute at the Volksworld Show 2006. The resto included a complete full body blasting followed by pretty much every panel you could buy and if you couldn't then Rick made them especially.
Full body prep and paint, inside outside and underneath. A full retrim follwed by a Smiths VW curved oak interior and John Gurney built
1776 motor. Had this van mot'd and registered 2 days before the show - Matt's first proper drive was there and back with no issues!
We found a new owner for the van at the show so now david hall has enjoyed tens of thousands of miles with her and still looks
as good today as in 2006...
