This '56 Samba was up for sale locally so I had to go and have a look!!
What I dragged back behind my van had a lot of people shaking their heads and laughing at me - but I could see it finished and knew how to do the hard work!
First off I put as much strength back into the skeleton as I could, so did a lot of welding, measuring and more measuring just to get everything right...
Then the whole shell was blasted and then the rest of the body was fully welded with nos or the best panels available! after welding, lead filling and prep work complete I painted the bus in its original sealing wax red and chestnut brown paint scheme.
Next
the very expensive rebuild was on... NOS everything or fully restored!
New woolcloth headliner, interior panels from lenny copp then the best curved oak devon interior fully handmade by Daron at Kustom Interiors. This van has the best of everything!
Now in the hands af a really good family in Germany so will finally see it again at the show in 2013!
