1954 Panel Van Volkswagen UK
I found this 54 RHD (Right Hand Drive) Panel Van in Australia in 2002/3 and shipped her back in one of my parts hunting and car buying trips. This was going to be a massive project so I just stored her away in my workshop until I had time!
Then Martin Hall came down to view another van I had up for sale at the time but ended up taking the barndoor home with him. Over the next year Martin fully welded the bus then brought it back for me to straighten the panels and bodywork back to factory standards, tie up any loose ends, and prep and paint the bus!
Considering the start point I think the van turned out really well and is now in prime spot as the new owners (Volkswagen UK) purchased it for use in their national 'lets go to work' commercial vehicles advertising campaign, it is now on display in their showroom.
